In a better place like Equestria, divorce wouldn't happen because ponies wouldn't marry for he wrong reason, nor would they be too weak to continue their marriage.

You vow at your wedding "til death do us part." When you divorce someone, you are breaking your vows. That's as much of a problem for humans as it would be for ponies. There is nothing in wedding vows that permits divorce, and yet half of all marriages end in divorce (although to be fair, that figure looks worse than it really is, since people who get divorced and remarried usually do so multiple times).

I'd like to think that divorce isn't a problem in equestria though, and that most ponies are smart enough to either not marry someone they shouldn't be with or to solve their problems instead of fighting about them.
