Is abortion legal in Equestria? |
| Anonymous #1327882 2 months ago |
Means nothing. Most wedding ceremonies have some phrase like that. Doesn't stop the tons of divorces every year. |
| Anonymous #1327890 2 months ago |
If you divorce, you're left with half a heart. |
| Roboshi #1327936 2 months ago |
I'd say it's just the phase they use, it's not law. It's not like they're gonna say "wed you together until you get divorced" |

And then Shining Armor was Henry VIII. |

The same way many christians forget the 'till death do us apart' part of the vow. |
| Anonymous #1328017 2 months ago |
Maybe they have Annulment? |

@Jackarunda - yes, true love is a very noble cause...

In a better place like Equestria, divorce wouldn't happen because ponies wouldn't marry for he wrong reason, nor would they be too weak to continue their marriage. |
| bboifatz #1328827 2 months ago |
You vow at your wedding "til death do us part." When you divorce someone, you are breaking your vows. That's as much of a problem for humans as it would be for ponies. There is nothing in wedding vows that permits divorce, and yet half of all marriages end in divorce (although to be fair, that figure looks worse than it really is, since people who get divorced and remarried usually do so multiple times).
I'd like to think that divorce isn't a problem in equestria though, and that most ponies are smart enough to either not marry someone they shouldn't be with or to solve their problems instead of fighting about them. |

...you know that marriage over here has similar themes, right? |
