I don't really see any difference between the people trying to justify red eyes and, say, the people trying to justify Dinky's familial relationships after we saw her with Sparkler in Sisterhooves Social.
I don't recall anyone flipping out over the latter's attempts to keep fanon, so why is the former getting all the "shitstorm" alerts ? |

Doesn't matter, maybe it wasn't the best example, but the point I'm trying to get across is that people pull this all the time. They're just trying to merge canon and fanon. With Dinky, it essentially means Sparkler is also Derpy's daughter, and IIRC it was resolved with something along the lines of Derpy adopting a full grown mare and Dinky being her biological daughter. It's about the same level of rationalization as Vinyl having contacts, which I think is the current fanon? The color correcting may or may not be trolling, but if it isn't it doesn't change much. TL:DR People have headcanons. |

Derpy was the same age in the flashback, so it's entirely possible that she could've had Sparkler too. I like the theory that it has to do with being Doctor Whooves's mate. |

I think her having magenta eyes and magenta glasses is kind of weird, that would be like me buying blue glasses because I have blue eyes... eye camouflage, why didn't I think of it SOONER!!!! |
