Yeah, spam these. Nothing good could come from comments on these.

Sad but true.

Hell, if Rainbow Dash hadn't forced the sick guy to remain in close proximity to so many others, Fluttershy would have been completely superfluous.

to be fair it took a monumental amount of effort for Fluttershy to get over her fears and such, so I think the amount of effort she did was about equal more or less, despite small results. Also people have been complaining about how much of an asshole RD has been in S2, yet I think this gesture was rather sweet of her. She understood that effort and determination mean something even if results are lacking. Quite a bit of character development compared to how she treated Fluttershy in S1.

They cheered her on because she overcame her fears and was able help them when they really needed it. It was a huge accomplishment on her behalf. ( she also succeeded her wing power as well )

I think RD was just trying to show how proud she was of her more then anything.

No, Fluttershy worked quite a lot

she went for a .5 to a 4.5 that's a improvement by 800%

"Oh so you overcame your lifelong fears to help us in our time of need, so what?"

What? Fluttershy worked the most. Rainbow barely did anything to get fast, Fluttershy worked for it.

Fluttershy's initial .5 was due to her freak out and subsequent super-slow flying. Who knows what it would have been if she had just continued on. Get the girls some earplugs so she can't hear other ponies talking.

Theory: LordBristle and Robomorons are automated processes that favorite everything not marked by certain tags.

Fluttershy herself may not have made the biggest contribution but she made the most effort, not to mention that despite her shortcomings, she still pushed on.

In the military, we give special acknowledgement to those who, while not as fit and capable as the others, still pushes along and finishes along with everyone else. We honor their determination, not their results

Congratulations OP, you posted something that is the opposite of true and completely missed the point of the episode.

How does it feel to not get a children's show?

It can also be added that Fluttershy's lacking performance in this episode was because... Well... She hates performing.

During a big chunk of season 2 we've seen what Fluttershy is actualy able to do when she puts her mind into it, she even admits that most of the times she went beyond her (self imposed) limits were because the situations required her to do so.

Rainbow knows this, that's why she doesn't even doubt to call her "her best flyer".

New variant on Peter/Dilbert principle?
