No one's going to care, but I feel I have to say this just having watched the eps again

When Chrysalis said "what a lovely but completely ridiculous sentiment" I totally agreed. But then... when Cadence and SA touched their horns, I was like o_o at the really pretty visual effects, then the fucking aura circling around them on the floor combined with the wind-blowing, their hair moving, and the way they raised up with the EPIC music (piano, faded into a serious.... glorious melody, epic manly-tears type music), and the way their bodies formed a heart when they started glowing, and the explosion...

You can say you don't like the ending because of the way it was predictable, but damnit man, I still go back to the files and watch the ending due simply to the WOW feeling it gives me.

Have my standards lowered as a result of becoming a brony? Probably. Don't care. The ending was far more awesomeness than I had expected.

No. The line was fairly cliche. Just as much as a pretty pink pony princess and valiant knight getting married was cliche.

But somehow. It worked.

The truly awesome background music helped too

Honestly though, when was the last time the power of love was used in a tv show. It was a great theme, cheesy=yes, but great. I was utterly amazed at how the writers managed to mix in such a childish sentiment with the lightly serious tone of the finally.
I've seen some good finales in my time but seeing THIS come from a little studio in Canada really makes my heart blow up.

Don't worry about cheesiness of lines like "power of love conquers all."

It's had a pink, puffy-maned pony singing about making people smile.

Sure grown men can enjoy this show, but still remember that it's aimed for little girls so of course there are going to be cheesy themes in it.

In the end, I love my cheese.
