I like to imagine the nightmare fuel route and that they've been hiding in plain sight since season one. Chrysalis dreamed of conquering and pretty much destroying Equestria since she was little, and who knows how old she is. Makes sense that she'd get her foot in the door and have her entire army disguised as regular ponies. |
