The only reasonable color she can have is magenta. Creating a red color eye just for a few seconds isn't worth the time. And the magenta eye color already existed. I guess they took magenta as it was the closest to our red. This is from a technical standpoint.

Well, OP is right: It is Purple/Violet/WhateverTheFuckYouCallTheCombinationBetweenRedAndBlue Now shut the fuck up and enjoy watching old episodes. BTW, I'm bauss with Photoshop, so I used several techniques to see the true color.
