OK readers. There are two ways this "rescue mission" can go:
1. Tom and Reed go deep into the nearby woods and go against the nighttime wild to save Hush from the owl. 2. The owl somehow loses Hush, who gets in the hands of the members of a secret dogfighting ring for "sideshow" entertainment. In other words, bad guy ass-kicking. The choice is yours. |

Oh thats a difficult choice. Finding the owl does seem more dramatic but bad-guy ass kicking has bad-guy ass kicking. I'd have to go with finding the owl just as a change of pace from your usual theme. |

Combine the two: The owl happens to be a trained animal/fluffy catcher for the dogfighting ring leader. Dick and Harry could have found out about the main event from their bar hopping, and decided to break up the ring. The owl would be captured and sent to an animal park and the rest would be freed for the animal rescue bit, the dogfighting ring would be broken, along with some heads, including incarceration. Hush and Reed would be reunited, and an animal rescue adventure would be over for now. |
