...You know, I was gonna make a snide remark, but this may hold a small amount of water. |

I watched the YouTube video and at first I thought you just added in that sound effect but no, that was really in the show. Interesting. I agree that it was a in the moment "You're up? Cool, let's kick some flank. Good luck" type thing. Either that or someone who works on the sound wants to mess with us. |

I heard it as a swish.
But still, over analyzing. |

Listen real close. It's an unusual sound, but certainly not a smooch. Then again, they could have been fucking with us. We'll likely never know if that's the case. |

Watched in 1080, slow motion. No mouth contact. In fact, good amount of distance.
Lesbianism in a E-rated cartoon would be awesome. But not gonna happen in America. |

Not to mention that Rainbow was grinning the entire time. Who kisses with their teeth? |
| Bolan #1317885 2 months ago |
@759 That was also the case when she allegedly kissed Applejack in "Mare Do Well" during the photo shoot. Teeth bared = argument invalid. |

You think the animators couldn't have had them kiss if they wanted? Either the idea of a kiss is accepted by Hasbro and is included, or is rejected and is not done at all, not given a vague half-assed effort. The ponies have to get close to each other's faces because their arms are short and the animators can only stretch them so far without making them look ridiculous. No contact = no kiss, I don't care if there is an odd sound. A friendly kiss for reassurance, like a kiss on the cheek or forehead, could've been animated if that's what they wanted to convey. FIM is still a western/American cartoon, even if it's shown worldwide, so a kiss on the lips would be seen as more than friendly. Also, though not the same age rating as MLP, Adventure Time strongly implies a past lesbian relationship between two of its characters, and there's been no backlash against it, so a relationship between Rainbow and Fluttershy isn't impossible, but I don't think that's what we're seeing here. |
