Not with the tone of voice she used. It was more of a "You need to think about what you've done" kind of thing. Twilight did mess up her accusation pretty badly. |

You know, think about this. This whole thing could have been resolved halfway through.
Celestia could have gone to "Cadence" and asked her some questions about when she was Twilight's foalsitter. Unless Chrysalis had tortured Cadence for in-depth background info to maintain her disguise, the gig would be up right then and there. Crisis averted. Oh, if you ponies only trusted Twilight a little more. I know she's a paranoid little spit-fuck, but she's right often enough to warrant a little more faith! Goddamn! |

My headcanon is that Celestia is the master of doublespeak, ever since the "make some friends" crack in the pilot.
In the letter she sent Twilight in the opening, her instruction to Twilight was to "make sure everything goes perfectly". That strikes me as the kind of instruction a Lord Vetinari type would give one of their pawns. |

I think Celestia was over stressed from the threats on Canterlot and Twilight making such accusations on her niece made her snap at Twilight a little harsher than she meant to. |

Don't get me wrong,Celly loves Twi,But I have to take her from Celestia's point of view. Given Twilight's record of freaking out over a lot of stuff it's something,but adding the whole threats at Cantelot and your student making blatant accustions to your niece,your family,would at least make me angry. |

No, Celestia was really angry at Twilight , just like in "Lesson Zero" after she had to undo Twilight's Want it, need it spell...I'm surprised noone's compared Celestia's anger toward her to that similar instance 22 episodes ago. |

Celestia was so unfairly harsh on Twilight to the point of reducing her to forlorn tears I'm SURPRISED, in part 2 she didn't gloat and sneer at her after Chrysalis overpowered her, "I WAS RIIIIGHT I WAS RIIIIIGHT I TOOOOOLD YOU SOOOO!!" or she told her "I shoulda just LET you ROT in that cocoon, DIPSTICK HEAD!!!" |

The only reason for Twilight Sparkle's hissy fit there apparently is to show how unhappy she was at her own friends, brother and mentor not believing her and turning on her toward the end of A Canterlot Wedding Part 1 and making her so sad. If I knew I was right about something and was later vindicated, I might be sore enough to vent just like that...albeit less intensely. Don't worry, Twilight Sparkle would NEVER call Princess Celestia "jackass", "sunshine-ass" or anything like that. |

---TWO WEEKS LATER, THE PONIES AND SPIKE AND PRINCESS CELESTIA ARE ALL GATHERED AT THE PONYVILLE LIBRARY WHEN TWILIGHT SPARKLE SHOWS UP---
TS: Hey everypony I'm back. Applejack? Fluttershy? Pinkie Pie? Rarity? Rainbow Dash? Spike? And especially you Princess Celestia? I knew my instincts about the phony Candace to be right and when you all castigated me at the wedding rehearsal you all made me feel soooo upset, well... at the real wedding after the real Candace married Shining Armor and Celestia congratulated and commended me about following my instincts....I...I...I just cracked and vented my rage and treated you all like you treated me, just to see how you like it. (sob) I'm sorry. I should NEVER have threatened to sue any of you, and I'm willing to drop all lawsuits of emotional distress levied against you. Or I WOULD, except....I never could bring myself to file any charges against any of you. PC: Yes, you really did upset us, Twilight Sparkle, but we understand now how you must have felt and why you vented so harshly at us. RD: Yeah. R: And we all were worried you actually HAD gone to commit suicide. PC: Yes. But it turns out you had been imprisoned by the phony Cadence and met up with the real Cadence and escaped, and CRASHED the wedding. We all thought you were at it again... until you produced the REAL Candace and vindicated yourself. AJ: An' if'n it makes you feel more better, yer blowup at the real reception two weeks ago made US feel just as devastated as we'd made you. PC: And I conacted Shining Armor on his honeymoon and told him about it, and he wants you to know how sorry and contrite HE is for his own blowup, revoking your best mare position and uninviting you to his wedding. TS: Yeah, well I woulda come to the wedding anyhow and made MYSELF best mare F: You would've DEFIED your brother?! TS: Yes I'm afraid so. RD: An' don't worry, Twilight, Like Spike said, we'd come back around to you and eventually decided to take you back in time for the wedding, 'cos what are friends for? PC: So how about it Twilight? Am I your mentor again? Are these ponies your friends again? AJ: Yeah, Truce? TS: Not so fast. On ONE condition. Celestia, you owe me a REAL apology for getting huffy and mad at me! And all of you too! PC: Okay. Twilight Sparkle, I formally apologize to you for not believing you and ESPECIALLY for getting mad at you and turning my back on you. EVERYPONY ELSE: Yeah...We're very sorry...Ditto, etc. PC And if we all made you cry and feel so bad as if you had lost our friendships for good...well... we are very sorry. TS: Well, you BETTER be!! PC: TWILIGHT!! I will stand for NO attitude! TS: Sorry, Celestia.. I mean... thank you for your apologies, and apologies accepted. AJ: Woo-hoo! RD: Yeah!! TS: But DON'T EVER DO THAT TO ME AGAIN, UNDERSTAND?!!! PC: Twilight Sparkle, be more forgiving!! But yes, we all understand. We won't do anything so horrible to you again. TS: PROMISE....?! PC: I promise. OTHER MANE 5: I promise too...Ditto...Yes, etc. TS: Good. Because you all made me soooo sad at that wedding rehearsal I'm HOLDING you to that promise ruthlessly....especially YOU, Princess Celestia....but again, what are friends for? AJ: Ah couldn't a said it ANY better! PC: Welcome back to Ponyville Twilight! TS: Thanks....REAL FRIENDS!! It's GOOD to be back again!!! -Ugh, SAPPY, ain't it? But I wanted to provide some closure on a positive note. And EVERYONE learned that no matter how badly a friendship seems damaged, it can ALWAYS be more easily repaired than you may think. WHOOOOAAA - Talk about HOT UNDER THE COLLAR. But then again, given how she was branded an outcast even by Celestia who can exactly blame Twilight Sparkle? Even so, she DID go quite overboard, denouncing her mentor/mother figure in such vain. But I DO like the second part of that little spiel, where after a while she calms down and comes back around to her friends for after all, ain't THAT a part of what true friendship is all about? |
