The real Trixie is probably very friendly, like anypony else. The one we saw was a changeling, and changelings are mean versions of nice ponies and vice versa Ex.Cadence is very nice and Changeling Cadence was mean. Changelings change form but oppose personalities, making ponies love (Their food) for them drift from them, when they are no longer loved, the changeling is done feeding. |

That would help explain why Fake!Cadence pulled a Trixie face in episode 25.
As for the magic glow, they hadn't established the color variations in Season 1 yet. So, it's the kind of headcanon that actually kinda works in my opinion. Except that the other changelings haven't exactly been shown to be capable of speech, let alone magic. |
