I dont care which eye color vinyl has, but I prefer red and in my head canon she still has red eyes and I'll not anoy people with such things, because its a question about taste, and taste is different.

Actually I care a bit, but I'm not actually mad. The red eyes were fanon, I knew that, but it just fitted her so well that I really hoped for a nod in our direction with this.
But I must say: It's already a nod in our direction to even show her eye color, and I have a pretty good idea why they did not make them entirely red: Remember Derpy? Such a small thing as her voice, name and eyes made a huge mess in the fandom and they even had to remake it! This probably made them realize that they have to be careful with future nods. It is not unlikely that red eyes could make a bunch of people go crazy, seeing as it's a "demonic" or "radical" color. I don't see any logic in this, but I didn't in Derpy either, so I guess they're the same and just try to be careful with their nods to fandom. Magenta is probably the closest color they could think of to fit the fandom without stirring up Tartarus. |

The complainers have not been in Ponibooru much, thankfully, but elsewhere (such as the Wiki and Cheezburger sites) there are plenty of people who refuse to accept it, and believe that if they apply enough photoshop filters they can "prove" that her eyes are red and not magenta. |
