I see Cadence's power more as Rioting magics in the Mistborn books.
Sure, its manipulation. But no more than wearing something expensive to make someone think you are important and intimidate them or wear something skimpy to seduce. You can't work with emotions that aren't there. So there needs to be some love there. She just as to single it out and make it the most prominent emotion and bring it out naturally, otherwise the person will KNOW they have been manipulated and thus just get angry and suspicious. |

What I liked about this scene, in retrospect, is that we clearly see that Cadence's magic is LIGHT BLUE, but I (personally) was so distracted by her using mind control, I completely didn't notice "Cadence" 's magic suddenly being NEON GREEN in the present. |
