Because I've been around Bronies enough to know that the 'I Miss Faust' line usually leads into bitching about the current state of the show. It's usually followed by the yadda yadda blah, show's gone downhill, all crap now, we need Faust back to get it right the way we want it again, bitch, whine, complain. Lauren created, we love her for it, but she willingly passed it on to do other things. She's not coming back, people need to get over that. The show is in good hands. People need to understand that. I'm tired of the 'Lauren would have wanted this...' How can you speak for Ms. Faust without being Ms. Faust? |

Faust left after season 1 was finished, and season 2 still had one of the greatest moments that could top out those of season 1, ESPECIALLY the season 2 finale! The show is as awesome as ever, with or without Lauren Faust. |

Again, I say, Faust left willingly. She is an intelligent woman. She knew what she was doing. She created FiM under contract with Hasbro. She knew full well that she signed off all rights to them to do as they wanted. It's a show about toys... Perhaps she had second thoughts later. Perhaps when they wanted other things put in she could no longer work with them. But she made her choice. She bowed out with grace and no malice. Maybe she just wanted to do other things. Her skill and talents let her do whatever she wants. Still, as Anon 685 said, did you even watch it? It may not be going in the direction Lauren started it on, but if you think it's gone bad, then I stand by my very first statement. If you can't stand it, don't watch it. I swear some of these people would stick a red hot poker up their own arses and then whine to the world about how butthurt they are. The rest of us are just tired of it. We want to see our pony friends on Saturdays or whenever we can, because they make us laugh and make us think and make us happy. If they make you upset then...stop looking! |

I would say it means "I Like Faust being a larger part of the show because I'm a fan of her work. And while being a seemingly likable person she worked as a face for the creation team. You certainly sound upset. Own up to that. It's better to say you're upset then to say you're not when you appear as such. That's OK, man. I'm still weighing the two seasons. I want to let the Season 2 finale settle a bit. I think there was a decided difference between the 2 seasons. OP can like season 1 over season 2. It doesn't necessarily mean he/she didn't like Season 2 or think the show fell off or anything. I miss some aspects of the first season, but I don't know if Lauren was the difference between the two seasons, and the initial feeling I had when I first watched the show might have played into that a bit. And I think Season 2 had better episodes, far better animation, and better character development. It's a matter of opinion. That's all. OP gave an opinion that isn't rage worthy, to be honest. It only turns into a fight if someone makes it into one. |

I don't really miss her to be honest. She said she was too stressed out, so she needs her rest. Having a good life is more important than overtly stressing over a career. Hopefully she gets more cartoon projects, etc etc.
That said, thanks should be given to the cartoon's runners right now (yes, that even includes Merriweather and other 'controversial' writers). They have been running the show in tip top shape. |
