The joke seems to be that a bachelor party happened without Spike knowing about it, because it obviously this was not a "child friendly" setting. @422: In the old west a lot of banks printed silver and gold notes, which was the first paper money. It was essentially a pre-made check worth a certain amount of gold or silver, and it could be redeemed at a bank. Even if Equestria uses a gold-based economy, they probably have some kind of paper money, since gold is heavy. The US used to have a gold-based economy, but we dropped our gold standard during the 20th century and now we are on the shitty paper-only economy controlled by the Federal Reserve. |
