Yeah, the first shield didnt do anything to Chrysalis, but the second one threw her out. That makes no sense. |

The first shield had no effect because she was already inside it. It's not supposed to repel, but to keep out.

The shield generates from the inside then goes out when it's created. Since Chrysalis was inside after it was made it wasn't pushing form the center just staying on the outside. When the train arrived in Canterlot the shield weakened in one place so it could pass. Probably same way Chrysalis got in disused as Cadance. Once the shield was formed it pushed center out and they got launched. |
