Huh. She is more of a succubus by my accounts but sure. 'Changeling' is usually fairy.

YES I READ THIS BOOK HOLY CRAP I NEED TO STOP READING FANTASY NOVELS

Though seriously.

The main character has too much sex with everything.

Also, fair folk are never nice.

Anyone watch Supernatural? The changelings in that show are strangely similar to the ones from this show.
Both show up out of nowhere and assume the shape of a loved one to feed off of the victim's life force
(The ones in Supernatural always assume the shape of children and feed off of that child's mother's life force, but still man... uncanny as all get out)

Reminds me of Changeling: The Lost somehow.

Also Hellboy fought a few, they're like what Doc said take the shape of a child but don't really act like one.

So they're kinda like the wingidos close to the ones in real myths but change to fit the pony word and show's ratings

Anyone else think Kingdoms Of Amalur when they saw the word "fae?"

Changlings are wonderful, they provoke wonder.
Changlings are marvelous. They cause marvels.
Changlings are fantastic. They create fantasies.
Changlings are glamorous. They project glamour.
Changlings are enchanting. They weave enchantment.
Changlings are terrific. They beget terror.
The thing about words is that meanings can twist just like a snake, and if you want to find snakes, look behind words that have changed their meaning.
Nopony ever said Changlings are nice.
Changlings are BAD.

Difference is bad.

Changlings look scary, so it is ok to hurt them.

to cut mince pies from fillies thighs

Love, the changlings nourishment is definitely on short supply and not infinite.
So there is obviously no way to coexist with them

Murder is bad.

Changelings want to drain us dry and imprison/kill anyone who want to stop them, so it's ok to repel them.

For a show that's supposedly intended for seven year-old girls, the writers seem to delight in pumping in as much Nightmare Fuel as they can.

Welcome back to the original genre of the "Fairy Tale." The brothers Grimm await you.

You thought parasprites were bad, who consumed your goods? Well then, what of the Changelings, who feed upon ...you?

Tolerance is good.

But bad things exist.

Things that want to rend, and hurt, and rip, and tear, and kill, and rape your soul, and steal your dreams and IA! IA! CTHULU FTHAGAN!

*ahem*

Tolerance is good because it teaches you that things that look different than you and disagree with you and are strange aren't always bad.

But some things are bad.

Like changelings.

KILL THEM! KILL THEM WITH FIRE!

Maybe Changeling's arent even naturally pony shaped, their regular form just gets closer to the creatures they feed on over time.

Sounds like something paraphrased easily from any old folktales about Faeries. Have to applaud this show for not just throwing more toy sale girly fairy stuff out like the flutterponies. Tinkerbelle, Barbie Fairies. People forget, the Fae are sociopathic monsters by nature. Also here are some horse type Fae to wet your appetites for fae; Nuckeleve, Kelpie, Night Mare, the list goes on; although most are simular to the Kelpie (just look up water horses).

@363

They are both (the Fae) that is.

Supposed to be utterly alien to our way of thinking.

We think in Black, White, and Gray.

They think in Cyan, Yellow and Magenta.

That and they're sort of like a cross between the darker fae (the Nuckeleve, the redcap) and newer succubi (feed on emotion rather than just make men commit sin).
