Saying up-front, I believe that this is just Rainbow Dash helping Fluttershy up. Frame-by-frame cinches it. And the sound effect is rather generic.
Yet I immediately thought what so many other people did at this point. A friendly, European-style "Glad to see ya" kiss. Ok, maybe other people didn't think of it exactly the same way. |

God dammit this gif deliberately misses out the frame that would dispel or confirm everything.
That said, I'm certain the animators and whoever picked out that sound effect and are doing this on purpose. For me, I can't say no to affection, be it 'friendshipping' or much more deeper than that, I just like seeing people (and ponies) happy, so I'm going to interpret that scene with my shipping goggles on. |

#1299738 The condemning frame is missing from the broadcast too, and I'm sure it never existed. Closest frame actually is RD smiling and Fluttershy wincing in fear, with some distance between them. |

I watched this frame by frame as well. Their lips never meet, but I did have to stop and adore the transition of Fluttershy's emotions. I swear this episode set is the smoothest of the whole series. |

You can hear it but you can't see it. I don't know about you guys, but it made me quite happy. I didn't think we'd see anything better than Supportive Dash in Hurricane Fluttershy, then this little smooch sound plays here... friendly, but still. You know there's love there now in one way or another. |

^Yes. Remember how insecure Dash can be? If she gets so nervous when it´s about her own skills, how nervous you think she´ll be when it comes to her feelings? Lets not forget her pride and the *coolness* factor everything needs for her to be good enough.
And then there´s Fluttershy timid nature and everything. Ya really think RD would just smooch her in the middle of a battle when everyone is fighting against dozen of changelings when she can be awesome and beat some more changelings? Especially considering all points of their personalities in this moment? Huge nope is huge. ^^Nope, didn´t even touched the nose, tiny gap between them. ^^^Exactly, as friends that is. @doc/Clavis Yes, their lips never meet. People can see what they want in the emotions, but a kiss didn´t happend. And frankly after that epic Derpy shitstorm i would really wonder about studio B to put in a kiss on the lips between two friends of the Mane6. Can ya imagine that shitstorm starting in USA/internet? |
