Discord didn't break out specifically because of the CMC. It was ages of conflict wearing his seal down for over a 1000 years. The CMC's fight was just the straw that broke the camel's back. Of course, who knows how strong the Mane 6's seal is compared to Celestia and Luna's original. |

Both have completely collapsed as a result of the hit. Fortunately auto-damage control kept fires from spreading to low-level fanon and the conceptual shrapnel from the explosion was mostly blocked by the collapsing structure. --> i wouldn't have guess we were this vulnerable... --> should we begin repairs, Sir? --> No, scrap the main headcanon. We need to re-formulate the poniverse from the ground up. --> rebuild it completely, Sir? --> Yes. Shut down art production and branch fanon generation for now. Get everyone on re-formulation of the primary fictional universe. All standard rules apply; match to canon, ignore technical oversights if they cause conflict, ignore fandom, etc. We may not produce any art or fics for a while, but at least everything will be reconstructed before the beginning of season 3. --> Sir, since celestia's power is finite, the ponyverse is no longer in fundamental conflict with the real universe. Should we attempt to reconcile and connect the two universes? --> Hm...... it's risky, but I think you may have a point. I never thought Celestia had unlimited power. I always thought she was like a Greek god. Powerful, but finite.
By now though, I can appreciate the hilarious irony of Celestia being defeated. I mean, is there any more loving and benevolent a pony in Equestria? And she was defeated by the power of love. Hilarious! |

Did they actually say/explain that in the Discord episodes? I must have forgotten that part. Well. This fight with the changelings must have at least given Discord quite a chaos power boost. I kinda hope Screwball will show up in season 3 as a villain and cause enough chaos to get him out. Chances are probably very small for that happening ,but still. |

Discord likes to do things his way, so not a good team player. Chrysalis only cares for herself and her Changlings so doesn't play well with other races...probably wouldn't have any patience for Discord's antics either. Of course they both have a bone to pick with the Princesses and the Elements of Harmony. ...possible...provided they don't try to kill each other five minutes into their partnership. |

I say that Discord wasn't playing seriously in his episodes and Celestia's attack was more along the lines of "GTFO" than "Go to Hell", but she didn't know how powerful "Chrysalis" was. |
