They couldn't be changelings, because the changelings were kept out because of the barrier, plus why would she need to hypnotise them when they're already here minions.
What I want to know is why Celestia has a crystal cavern underneath Canterlot that can be used to store prisoners? First the moon, then the statue thing, now this. |

^ I figured the caverns were the old mines where the rock to build Canterlot city was quarried.
Honestly, of all the things we saw in these two episodes that made the most logical sense. Still don't understand how Twilight & Cadence rode a mine car that spiraled down to reach a wedding that was happening above them though. |

They weren't changelings, as shown by their glowing green eyes - not even the duplicated mane 6 had glowing eyes, and even then, the changeling drones had blue eyes.
Only Chrysalis and those affected by her spells had the green eyes. |
