I propose there may be a difference between an alicorn and and winged unicorn, with an alicorn having god-like powers and an alicorn being a ordinary unicorn that can fly... I guess we'll see tomorrow. |

i think alicorns are one-in-billion genetics wonders that are not godly, but due to the princess' history, are viewed that way by ponykind. In truth, they are as awesome as any other pony. |

The deity thing is PURE fanon that canon actually doesn't support pretty much at all. Frankly in his hour or so of screen time Discord made a WAY better case for god hood then they have in two full seasons. |

Nothing yet suggests that Pony land exists in our universe.
I would like to propose that magical pony land exists in its own sealed universe where the sun and the moon orbit their earth (they did say the word "earth" in the show didn't they) in their universe Faust could be the creater level type God, although that would be more fanon than canon. But if they exist in a small closed universe then everything can be changed to fit, such as the size of the sun and how its controlled by pony magic. |

the story from the show states that before Celestia and Luna rose up against Discord with the Elements of Harmony the world was chaos that could also mean that Celestia and Luna are deities but Discord is more powerful and remember, with Discord the sun and moon come up at random |
