Yeah, I have no problem liking something that's popular. I think Harry Potter is overhyped, but the books and movies are still great. I used to hate on Apple, but then I had to get a MacBook for college, so I'll admit that they aren't terrible computers, but is it really worth ~$1500 more than my other friends' computers? No.
But Justin Bieber and Twilight? While I won't go out of my way to declare my hatred of them, they're still terrible and would be so even if they weren't popular. It's just that we've heard of them because they are. |

Apple: HATE HATE HATE! Never had a good experience with their products, and they set the low standards of corporate integrity that we suffer today. Harry Potter: Enjoyed them. Honestly speaking only one of the items depicted in this picture are objectively bad, and that's Activision. Everything else is hated because it's popular or because it wasn't like people wanted it to be. Grow up. Justin Bieber is a fine musician(even if I don't actually like most of his music) and Twilight is an excellent read and a fresh new take on vampires. The only reason people don't like either of them is because the legions of annoying fangirls completely ruin it for people all with their fangirl-ism. |

Last I checked, only people who thought Harry Potter was "the work of Satan" hated it.
I'm not gonna say the Michael Bay films are the worst thing to happen to Transformers. (That would be Kiss Players.) But the whole franchise in general had its ups like G1, Beast Wars, Beast Machines, Animated, and Prime, and downs like Kiss Players, and Bayformers. But overall, it's decent at the least. I think the positives should outweigh the negatives here. Stephanie Meyer's Twilight Saga did not deserve the popularity it has. I have some friends who at least either read one of the books or watched one of the movies. Neither as far as I can tell, recommended it. And given the fact that it's a series where vampires sparkle in the sun and werewolves have complete transformation control, "do not want" are the words that come to mind. No opinion on the others. |

Twilight has very, very poor characterization not helped by the lackluster writing quality, also the ridiculous in-universe vampires castrated an entire class of high-end monsters
Justin Beiber has an unsettlingly girlish voice and face for his age and his songs are rather generic, plus LOOK at him Apple and Activision are basically insulting everyone who buys their product Transformers could do with better pacing and a retouched script, though Micheal Bay and his crew do deserve much more credit for what they made Harry Potter is good in its own merit, but so ludicrously overrated it's no longer funny. Bieber - He has some talent but wasted with what he puts out. Mac - Sure they are easier to use then PCs until you get a problem. Harry Potter - I like it. Transformer(movie) - Energon was worse. Twilight series - The vampires are messed up and the werewolfs are not werewolfs at all. Activision - don't really hate them but they need to get back to being good. |

Hate Bay's movies because they're poorly written and focus too much on flashy special effects. The Twilight Series: Writing is poor, story is just plain uninteresting, characters are boring, kinda sexist. Apple= Indifferent. Some cool gadgets and ideas IF THEY'D WORK WHEN NEEDED! Harry Potter= Used to be a fan but now am indifferent. I have seen haters with agruments that are hippocritical, but the stories are far from perfect. Activision= I enjoyed the earlier stuff, but unless its Valve or Bethesda I am indifferent to most gaming developers. Transformers= indifferent to the franchise as a whole, have serious nostalgia for Beast Wars, Think the first Bay movie is meh, loathe the second movie and never saw the third, though the presence of Lenard Nimoy in the cast is tempting me... Twilight= There are thousands of well crafted (and just as many idiotic) arguments why Twilight is a horrible series. I agree with many, but boil my intense hatred to a single oft repeated phrase: VAMPIRES DO NOT SPARKLE!!!!! Justin Bieber=He's a teen pop star with no discernable talent nor targeting my demographic. he rarely pops up in my daily life so why the fuck should I expend energy to hate something that does not affect me? Bonus My Little Pony= Pre brony I was dismissive of any series for little girls made by marketing executives. I believed all semblance of plot and conflict didn't exist in these stories.
