Hmm. I have told him directly I don't care much for, well, any of this. I just wish he doesn't go the route of pretty much every single other author that first didn't draw rule 34, then did, and then they became a one trick pony (oh god, the pun, it burns) who got into a sort of pornographic stasis or non-improvement and praise brought by the fact people who think with their dick aren't particularly picky.
Also, if anyone retags with the other name remove it at once, I have taken the job to do it on my own, but I can't always be here. |

Not prude, I personally do rule 34 all the time, I am just not particularly impressed by this (the inkie pictures were interesting, but nothing more for example), and I find myself concern about artist wasting their talents away, not because they draw porn, but because they think the praise for their porn means they don't have to improve. See, what I would really like to see is a picture of Sirachi in missionary position with a cold while lovingly holding each other. Aka, I would like some cute sex rather than mindless one, specially if it's technically superior. |

While I can understand your dislike of R34 its not like he said hes only gonna do R34. Besides, don't artists draw erotic(not necessarily pornographic) stuff? That just strikes me as something an artist would do so they can get better acquainted with the anatomy of their subject. I'm probably wrong though. |

By the way, I still use Paint Shop Pro 7 for 99.9% of the graphics I make. It was published in 2000, but it supports layers, vectors, alpha transparency and various effects.
Loads in a second on Windows 7, uses very little memory and still works like a charm. Just to confirm that you don't need anything as powerful as the Gimp or Photoshop for amost every operation on images. |

I could use others, but Snapesnoggler is perhaps the best one. 2.) you are saying that you dont like this because you want something else Not true... I didn't say didn't like it, I said I didn't care much for it and that I wasn't particularly impressed. A good example of something along those lines? Curling. I played it many times with my family (Canada? Really? Could you have gone farther guys?) and enjoy the fact I'm playing with them, but if I could see or do something else I would. If I didn't like it I wouldn't be planning to act like a police force against people putting the wrong artist tag. As for my comment about cute sex and wasting, I am just saying what I want to see (cute sex) and putting an emphasis on it becoming technically superior because of what I fear (a fixation of drawing the very same pornographic material over, and over, and over again) because I have been to enough places to see that happen all the time. It's less of a "oh god, he is drawing porn!" and more of a "huh, this is a good start, let us hope it doesn't end badly." |

Errr, no, I don't hate rule 34, and yes, one of the things you have to do is to learn to draw the human body, which is normally done with a person coming in naked and sitting there in various positions for you to get the proportions, a notion of the muscles (and, in one occasion, fat) and the proportion were everything goes (and I mean everything). It's was kind of weird because everyone was slightly unnerve by the thing, meanwhile I didn't particularly care because {introduce porn joke here}. @Clopitor_the_Hydrogenous and Yorec That's a thing? I normally refer to people by number because that way it makes sense what comment are you responding to, seeing how that's the only difference between them. Will keep in mind to call you by names if you feel so strongly. |

Yes, that is probably one of the best guides (at least for what I'm talking about). @Sirachi And I'm not saying you are going to be drawing just porn (well, yeah, the blog is a porn blog, so maybe that), and I know all about drawing stuff and not showing it anywhere *looks at his sketchbook, which no other mortal will ever see*. My comment is more directed at history and a lamentation of sorts about all the artist I gotten to meet that first didn't want anyone to see their work, then began posting, and then forgot that there was anything else to draw, not you specifically. I can only hope you do keep improving, I'm just being a worry-wort because I always worry about everything (those classes on tolerances and risk management? I aced them) and have seen it happen before to much ill-effect. So, for now, as I said, it's less of a "and it has been ruined forever" or "HE IS DRAWING PORN NOW!" or even a "he is just drawing it for attention, that attention whore, let us call him on porning it up", but a "huh, this is a good start, let us hope it doesn't end badly" because I feel that if someone had come over and told the artist drawing porn because people like it not a good thing and that he has now drawn with the same skill for three years, his style is a bad combination of all the animes he has watched, and he draws it because it makes him feel praised and... You get the idea. Not saying you will do it, I'm just saying I hope you don't do it, and I will try to keep a positive outlook towards it while still being wary (and maybe sounding like a douchebag when I feel I need to call you out). For now, keep drawing and keep improving (this, improving, is the one thing that you can't stop doing man) and let me be the engineer who draws every so often while you actually draw. |

Just came back a moment to see is Sirachi responded here, and I find this. The answer: yes, the position of the tail and the legs makes the need for a double set of elastics and thus needs the wiggling for it to be a better fit. In a less displayful manner, a small adjustment using the hooves would have made the wiggling unneeded, but would have reduce the sexual content of the image. And yes, I analyze everything I see, and need the picture to be mind-blowing to get arouse by pornography. Biggest nerd of the fandom away. |

Plus, very much as why I'm sound like "gloom and doom" just a couple of posts above, I'm looking at pics and events from the point of view that knowing where and how things can all go horribly wrong, and then keeping it in mind so it doesn't, is the best policy you can of just about anything. So, I point to where things should go, why they should go in the other direction, and then try to figure out how likely is it for it to go either way. Aka, I overanalyze everything as a matter of course and I don't think I'll be stopping now. Bonus points if you guess what I want to do for a living. |

Not that it's any of my business, but in the realm of rule34 on the internet, especially as there's so much of it now, people can be just as picky to an artist as compared to other criticisms of their non-erotic work. Thing is you don't get the criticism on the tumblr or dA, mostly because you have to be registered to criticize and there's a stigma (?) against it (the communities can be hugboxes). But places like paheal or here are not nice and we have high standards for our porn. And we will let you know what's working and not working (without reservation). |
