So is the eel kosher or something? |
| DreihornKing #1286438 2 months ago |
I'll be completely honest, I only uploaded this for completion's sake. Personally, I'm rooting for the Eel to defeat that bastard of a Nazi pony. (And am I the only one rather disturped by the artist's dA gallery and her raving for the Nazis? Please tell me I'm not the only one.) |

So what does the eel represent? Zionist agendas? |

HEIL PONY HITLER!
but srrsly, the nazis wer bad. |

@DreihornKing
The whole point of the nazi phase is that it is used to draw controversy and attention to an otherwise average artist. |
| DreihornKing #1286491 2 months ago |
@Clopitor: To be honest, I have no idea. The eel as an animal is on the implicitly unclean animals list, since while it lives in the water it doesn't have noticeable fins or scales. Given the artist's..."views", I'm guessing(?) that the eel may be some sort of Jew allegory (the Nazis did call Jews, among other things, snakes and serpents), but again, I have absolutely no idea.
Really, this entire collection of the artist of Nazi ponies just gives me the creeps. Especially since I've been taking a Holocaust class at my university, so I've seen just what sort of barbarity the Nazis left in their wake. |

I think half of devart and that furry verson needs to take that class |
| Yorec #1286538 2 months ago |
As much as I hate that the eel is most likely symbolic of the "lesser races" and how "impure" they are, its design is pretty cool. |
| DreihornKing #1286571 2 months ago |
@Clopitor: You may be right on that note my friend. Though while I don't think she's average, I do think it's disappointing that she uses such themes in her art.
@d715: Definitely, if nothing else than to see the documentary footage showing all of the dead bodies. This week alone, I saw a Russian and an American documentary on what the Allies found, and in both of them I saw at least one dead newborn baby amongst the piles of corpses. What the Nazis did was just fucked up man. (My apologies for my language, but I do feel it justified in this case.) @Yorec: I hate that implied symbolism as well, though, if you think about it in TV Tropes terms, this picture is a clear example of Dark Is Not Evil (the eel, though fearsome looking, is actually on the side of good) and Light Is Not Good (the alicorn, despite looking beautiful, is in fact a morally reprehensible monster). Personally, I'd love to see someone do a follow up picture to this with the eel triumphant. |

It's just another delicious eel to me. |

Stupid neo nazis. You lost the war, really, really hard, get the fuck over it. |
| Impious #1286650 2 months ago |
@DreihornKing
I love that kind of subversion. Noble demons versus genocidal angels, benevolent zombies versus racist humans, that sort of thing. |
| Ananonymous #1286675 2 months ago |
interesting how a single simbol can make viewers completely change their view on an otherwise neutral subject |
| DreihornKing #1286763 2 months ago |
@Ananonymous: That's the power of symbols for you. True, while one variation of the Swastika has been and is still used in Buddhist circles, and while it may have at one point been simply used as a sun symbol by Norther Europeans, the fact is that when we see a swastika NOW, especially one placed on a medal like the one on this alicorn here, the first thing that comes to mind is the Nazi legacy. Had this pony's cutie mark been something else, it would have a completely different feel to it, like your standard "shining hero versus corrupt monster" theme. But the instant that pony has that Nazi swastika cutie mark, we immediately associate the Nazi legacy of inhuman (though unfortunately, still very human) evil to that pony, identifying him as a villain of the worst kind. I agree, it is actually rather fascinating how that symbol makes us root for a character that normally, we would see as an antagonistic monster (the giant eel in this case), simply because we know that as bad as that eel MAY BE, he can't be anywhere near as bad as that Nazi alicorn MOST CERTAINLY IS.
@Impious: I don't think it's so much a subversion as an alternative means of interpretation. It certainly does subvert the Beauty Equals Goodness trope, which to be honest is rather demeaning and prejudiced. |

Nazi Germany: Belived in the superiority of a blond haired, blue eyed german christians, and were led by a dark haired, brown eyed austrian jew.

And so here we are at last, the end of the road. I can only imagine what those psychos intend to do once they've consolidated enough power... create their own land on earth and isolate themselves in incest and imbreeding? Or will they rise up like Nazi Germany and begin another war in their rage? |
