I wouldn't say Big Man is an asshole. He has to provide a living for himself, and if one fluffy rebelled then eventually they all might.
He's conflicted between being nice to the fluffies and possibly going out of business, or making money but possibly going over the edge without realizing it. |

This was a shitty story. Both Faramir and Martini should've been offed for talking back to Boss Man. That they weren't makes him seem less like a big man and more like a spineless pussy who takes his marching orders from the fluffies he's supposed to be breeding.
Boss Man didn't accomplish a single damn thing in the past two stories. For a breeder to go the two whole stories without breeding anything, well, he clearly needs to be replaced if he's letting his emotions get in the way of functioning effectively at his place of employment. He's there to make fluffies fuck and kill the ones that won't, not fawn over the replacement goldfish for the rest of the series. Hell, his listening to a fluffy in front of the others makes him seem just that much less threatening since the fluffies would start thinking there's a chance he's just full of shit. HIS AUTHORITY HAS BEEN COMPROMISED! As he continues boo hooing over spilt milk, the character's inching more and more towards mary sue territory. And that's terrible. |

@520 He's not conflicted at all. He abuses them without a second thought. He only holds back on Martini because he likes the guy and Martini's the most reliable fluffy he has.
