Actually, the singular group is "bronies," and that means that the content needs to cater to the lowest common denominator-- it either needs to feature something related to the show somehow. Saying "I this site is for fans of X. I am a fan of X, and I also like Y, therefore Y is X" is a catastrophic failure of logic, and yet some people here will vehemently argue it to justify posting completely non-pony-related content. |

Well, of course socialism entail a government entity. Otherwise it can't collect taxes and see to their use towards social goods and services of various kinds. That being said, socialism is generally viewed from an economic light. Capitalism, for example, also relies upon a government to enforce property laws and defend the lands, goods, and services from theft or destruction.
Still, I don't get how either of the terms "socialist" or "democracy" really apply to the booru. Could you explain? |

People are debating over Cteno saying she doesn't belong, other like myself say she should stay. In democracy, the majority wins. In Socialism, the majority and minority are irrelevant and instead viewed as one entity. That way, power is evenly distributed amongst all. We have filters here for a reason. To please all, as Socialism entails. |

I think the term you are looking for, Blissful, on the terms of being united and in "perfect" harmony is "UNITED ORDER", not just socialism, capitalism, communism, or democracy alone. Those aspects being alone would not tie into being a harmonious state.
Basically, take any lack of government, (I'd say Anarchy, but that has a lot of negative connotations) give each individual member of the defined group a simple means to live better and be happier, and a clear incentive to be better, and BOOM BAM BOOM you get a (mostly) harmonious group of individuals. Every now and then you'll get those people who "just wanna watch the world burn", but that's where good structure comes in, and we just stumbled on that good structure! The ones that hold these "brony values" strongest seem to naturally collect together (termed "circlejerks" by individuals outside of these), creating a natural order to things - the inner groups collect together and become powerful engines of creativity and advancement, and it fans out from there, the circles getting larger yet looser, on and out until you fade away from "brony values" in total, so if there are any who "just wanna watch the world burn," they get pushed out and away from these inner circles. If you wonder why Bronies are so productive and crazy, THAT'S why - We have a powerful incentive (which in hindsight actually isn't all that powerful, but that just speaks volumes on the general goodness about people here) and a harmonious and orderly structure here, making us faster, stronger, more stable, and all around "better" than a lot of communities, both on the 'net and in the real world. Just making something and sharing it makes you rise up, and so people like Eco, Sethisto, to name a few examples, would naturally be near or at the top because they made whole sites where others could also make things! We need more social structures like this. I mean honestly, if we had a whole nation structured like this, I'd give it 2 years AT MOST for that nation before they developed technology that WE would call "magic". |

Well, their current president is a member of the populist movement and their former was a member of the socialist party. Of course I agree with you. That's always been my stance; increased social programs, safety nets, and care while maintaining private interests. There are very few "purely capitalist" or purely socialist" societies. There are "degrees" of social infrastructure and regulation a country to utilize and adhere to. |

The structure still stands, those who are productive in some way, be it drawings, writings, music, ANY kind of fanwork, will find that it won't take long to suddenly be closer in and higher up in the fandom. Besides, you're neglecting the HUNDREDS of fan-fiction writers out there. Even if they're not really noticed, they're trying. If they persevere and become better at their writing (or any other fanwork they try), then they'll rise up and become known in the fandom. If not, then they'll either remain in ambiguity or fall away from the fandom altogether of their own choice. |
