@618 - awww... butthurt much? @lordanubis - my theory is that smarty friend ponies had either their mates and/or their foals taken away or killed in front of them. it drives them to be leaders but they also develop a selfish mindset which ultimately culminates in the smarty personality.

@582 As a result of being more aggressive, the alpha males have a greater sense of self importance. They not only don't appreciate the consequences of their actions or the favors humans do for them, but they even think themselves above humans. Fluffies mistake the alpha male's foolishness for intelligence and dub it the smarty friend. Rather than some part of their personalities disappearing, smarty friends are the true nature of fluffy ponies, their normally self entitled attitudes taken to the logical extreme due to there being no training or abuse to correct the error of their ways. Smarty friends are the inevitable result of positive reinforcement, with their attitudes only getting worse as their fellow fluffies shower them with even more praise and perks. The ACTUAL smarty friends, who show some semblance of real intelligence, are mutants brought forth by darwinism who would either keep their herds out of sight and away from humans, or instead be too smart to live and get kicked out to die alone by their herd due to them prioritizing survival and the good of the herd over the blissfully suicidal ignorance fluffies normally revel in. @861 Fluffies are selfish. Faux smarty friends are more aggressive and thus more selfish. It should come as no surprise that they'd put their own pride ahead of the good of their brethren. Even if the black one was watching his friend get hurt, as long as there's no clear danger to himself there's still no reason for him to change his mind. As a fluffy, he'd gladly sacrifice any number of other fluffies to maintain his position as smarty friend and revel in all the perks that come with it, including getting his fill of all the mares and all the food. If there's one less smarty friend in the herd, that's one less rival and it only gives him even more incentive to let the other smarty be offed. Srsly. Luvfags need to stop thinking fluffies are angels who do no wrong, shit no turds and display blind obedience towards humans for no reason whatsoever despite all of them having the mentality of a spoiled toddler.
