The wild roses that grow all over the place around here are pretty good for making homemade rosewater. When they come out later this season, I'll try to keep some for testing with ice cream. Can't imagine they would taste bad.
Raw petals do have a distinctly "plant" taste to them. Those of you who eat raw plants, especially wild edibles will probably know what I mean. Those of you that live off Cheetos and Dr Pepper, probably won't. |

I've had it -- it was available at a local Indian grocery store. Tastes pretty much like roses smell. It was okay. |
