Gonna agree on that one, at least for me I'm no American, and many jokes just seem really weird and random (probably more than intended) which I actually like It's the same reason I really enjoy South Park and even the Simpsons Though I will also say, I don't really like the jokes, that drag on way too long (the later seasons are especially guilty of this), I'm more a fan of rapid-fire-comedies That said, I'm really interested how a pony-version of Joe Swanson looks like |

I loved Family Guy's first few seasons, but I feel it has become to dependent on old jokes and Brian's anvilicious political views. The characters have flanderdized way to greatly, seeing as Stewie's now a walking gay joke. I'll say it occasionally gets a good episode, but is clearly no longer in it's prime. |

(this only to don't come to use the popularity rankings as argument material, which isn't really the best way to prove one point) even so there isn't a "objectively bad", but if it smells like shit, has the color of shit, and tastes(someone may like it) shit, it may not be "objectively bad" but there is nothing bad in calling it shit (disclaimer: if you feel offended by the use of shit just change it with an other word, oranges, apples, whatever..) also, if someone says it's a bad show, i may lose an arm if i'm wrong, but i'm quite sure he/she is expressing his/her opinion (being it polite or not) \( '_')/ |

My little pony is popular and it doesn't suck. Family Guy sucks because it's poorly written with awful and mean-spirited characters and lame jokes. It confuses vulgarity (which is fine as a means to humor) with humor itself and it's punchlines never warrant their set up. Popularity isn't the problem; banality and lack of wit and humor is. |
