I guess I can believe the whole Sekai/Kotonoha/Makoto triangle but the rest was just too unrealistic for my taste, but that's just me |

@Anon684 has somewhat of a point. While it's true that anime way to often gives us these righteous anime heroes who are near flawless that doesn't make "School Days" any more realistic. Makoto had very few characteristics to justify the amount of girls he got it. There's no doubt that similar things have happened in real life, but they happen to guys that are either really rich, athletic, or incredibly handsome. Makato is fits none of these characteristics.

Bareburn, being an incredible boor and someone having a reputation of getting girls is in itself a self perpetuating hype train. That's kind of what followed Makoto. Because he has gotten that status either by dumb luck or because a few female characters were fighting over him. Probably some weird social thing going on to make him more popular than he 'should'. |
