This will be the last *direct* sequel. Ps. What do you think made Raindancer so smart? Was he an escapee from some science experiment? Was he a human being reincarnated as a fluffy pony? Or was it just my lack of respect for the agreed-upon levels of fluffy intelligence? |

Wait. Wait wait wait. The badass smarty friend died, and the cowardly idiot lived happily ever after? Everything Raindance did to protect the herd and ensure its survival was for naught? Granted, he should've killed Wiggly on the spot. But still...RUSTLE becomes the hero?
WHAT THE FUCK KIND OF ENDING IS THAT?! Even Mass Effect 3 is ashamed of this ending, if only because it doesn't involve a healthy does of everything dying. |

^Rustle's not the hero. The point is, everything came down to Rustle's decision and he couldn't make one. Raindancer's death was partly if not mostly Rustle's fault and now he knows it. Rustle doesn't live happily ever after, he lives in depression, knowing he could've saved his friend, but didn't. |

^^But yes, everything Raindancer did for the herd was for nothing. They were too dumb to realise what he did was for their best. Raindancer was too smart to live with them, but not smart enough to live by himself, so he accepted death as the only way out. |

I assume "some time later" is like three months or less, given the speed of their reproduction.
Without a strong leader like raindancer, the herd cannot survive the next winter. "happily ever after" is more like nine months. |
