Yamino could certainly be a jerk sometimes, but even she didn't deserve all the harassment she got, especially since she wasn't the one who made The Call to Hasbro that forced The Change. Basically, bronies blamed Yamino when they should have aimed their ire at hypersensitive soccer moms. Y'know, the exact same people who are always responsible for censorship in media. Still doesn't excuse Yamino's earlier behaviour though. |

It wasn't the fact that she voiced her opinion rather the manner in which she did it and the events that transpired afterwards which burned bridges with people.
Calling the whole issue a "social injustice" throughout the duration of this unfortunate episode is what put me off not to mention the tumblr brigade that rallied behind that sentiment. |

I think what Yamino did was unforgivable. But even more unforgivable are those COWARDLY soccer moms who threw harassment at us while hiding behind their proxy. Yamino took front line at least. People like them are the reasons why we can't have good things. If they don't like it then don't watch it! Why must they nose into everything? Since when are they anymore entitled to voice their opinion over the rest? If anything, those Soccer moms and "Moral Crusaders" are the ones who are in dire need of morality check. |

They're like the nonviolent version of the black bloc, they run up to your store windows (entertainment of any sort) in black masks and full body combat gear, smash them with bricks labeled 'not for children' or 'offensive', and run off, safe in the knowledge their herd-like tactics protect them from individualist retaliation. Derpy done got brick'd by June Cleaver and the Stepford Wives. It's time to set fire to the whole goddessforsaken gated community. You never never ever see vigilante justice aimed at these sorts, they fade away into the mists. Yamino is to bronies what Carrie Nation was to surly husbands that needed a goddamn drink to put up with their wives' nagging back in the 1900s. No one else got to feel the truly deserved anger and retribution. And much like with bans on vices, only the poor, destitute hillfolk (the actual disableds and the derpy lovers as far as this comparison goes) who have no voice really feel the worst effects. Only the one that stood at the heap of the pile to put a face on it got hit.
