Hmm, let's see... first, without cheating by looking at the source...
Lack of trees and grasses (and clouds) suggests an arid or semiarid climate. Reasonably flat landscape rules out significant portions of desert on the North American continent. Also, this artist seems to have some degree of talent, and everyone knows American artists have no talent (I include myself in this, BTW). My first guess would be somewhere in Australia, but my second guess would be somewhere on the High Plains here in the USA, like eastern Montana or the western Dakotas. I'll post again in a minute after I've checked the source to see how totally wrong I am. |

Okay, source is unclear on exact location, so there's nothing I can do to spoil it for anyone else ^_^.
Xofox is not Australian, so that nixes that guess (kinda figured; soil wasn't red enough). The grass in some of his other pics is pretty scrubby, which doesn't happen on the high plains (that stuff is prairie). Pic would probably have to be one of the flatter parts of NM or AZ. Could also be somewhere in southwest UT, but I doubt it. |

Huh. Coulda sworn I posted location information somewhere about, although I'm sometimes confusing on that point. I'm a Chicagoan, but I'm living for the semester in the Texas panhandle with family for a job. |
