You don't need to ask for each image. Just ask one time to the author: "Hey, can I post your pics on ponibooru?" If he say yes, you are on. It's usually the same people who upload pics anyway. |

In closing, Ponibooru has actually seemed a pretty nice and civil place considering the lack of moderation and rules. I've met lots of nice people here and enjoyed my stay thus far. |

The problem with permission-only is that the original purpose of Ponibooru was to archive stuff posted on imageboards, where the original artist is often impossible to track down. While we encourage people to ask permission when feasible, we don't require it as a prerequisite for posting.
That said, we do comply with takedown requests by the artist. |

I am chill for the most part. But I also believe that trying to turn this place into EQD or something by policing what anyone can say is a dumb idea and one I can't get behind.
