^ Not as much as Pinkie. Besides, generally people match the Mane Six to the team, and Pinkie suits Pyro more than the other classes. |

Why would the ponies befriend any of the Team Fortress 2 mercenaries? I mean, I know ponies aren't angels... but one would think that they would stay away from a bunch of assassins, not only because someone who kills people for money doesn't deserve any kind of sympathy, it's also completely dangerous. |

Pinkie suits Demoman better than she fits Pyro. Spammy, noisy, firecracker-y grenades and stickybomb "surprise parties" would be far more fun than simply spraying fire around.

^That has to be the best example of why the "standard" pony-to-class list is faulty; it's based around comparing personalities, as opposed to what they'd actually be skilled at. I think I've determined what a "best" list might be more like, but be warned; I'm highly verbose...
Rainbow Dash is Scout, it's obvious why; speed. It's her destiny. Fluttershy is Medic; as a Sniper she'd be too paranoid of Spies, and as a Spy she'd love disappearing, but hate having to become visible again (Bloody CnD campers...). As a Medic, she has all her friends watching her back while she is "weak and helpless," so it fits. Twilight would make a far better Engineer than Applejack; her knack for coordination would be great for monitoring her buildings, and if Spike is Pyro, he could be her personal Spycheck assistant. And considering how old-fashioned and hands-on the whole Apple family is, Applejack would probably despise hiding behind machines that do all the work for her. She'd take a class like Soldier; strong and reliable. She's not quite up to par for Heavy; Big Mac is stronger (and possibly less agile?) than her, so he'd take the role of Heavy. DemoPinkie was explained in my first post (the one you replied to), which leaves only Sniper and Spy. Rarity could be Sniper because it's the best class for not getting dirty (Spike would enjoy having an excuse to Spycheck her location regularly, too), but shooting from afar is hardly glamorous at all. The drama of deception and backstabbing would be much more enjoyable. That leaves only Zecora as Sniper... which is actually quite fitting. Sniper uses several tribally-inspired weapons, and Jarate could just be one of her many potions. Both are quite adept at surviving on their own in the wilderness. TL;DR Scout = Rainbow Dash Soldier = Applejack Pyro = Spike Demoman = Pinkie Heavy = Big Mac Engineer = Twilight Medic = Fluttershy Sniper = Zecora Spy = Rarity And they all have good reasons instead of things like "because she's black/southern/crazy!" Oh man. It's huge. I'm so sorry. Please tell me I didn't break any rules regarding size constraints... |

Also, an addendum to the list: Celestia = Administrator (she's in charge of the world already) Luna = Ms. Pauling (Celestia's younger sister serving as her assistant kinda makes sense) Discord = SAXTON HALE (because PROPERTY DAMAGE! and steak dinners with Celestia and all the other absurd mental images) |

I think my whole "addendum" was rubbish. Celestia and Luna are more fitting as Redmond and Blutarch, aren't they? That's certainly more fair for Luna, having a comparable role to her sister. And this would mean Discord could be the Administrator! What could possibly go wrong!? |
