It's intended to be a punishment. Duke's not supposed to succeed. But that doesn't stop him from trying like the badass fluffy hunter he is, which is why he became the ensemble darksquirrel. Also, it's a canon excuse to write any number of Duke stories, since he'll always need to kill more fluffies. |
