I'm bothered too much by the white centers in the letters to actually read the words they form. |

^Same here. Next time, make the box, then write over it. |

I stopped caring about anime as soon as I started watching MLP. |
| LorenzoP #1257382 3 months ago |
You are just not looking in the right places. The anime fandom is fine. |

Are you kidding me? Weaboos and otakus will never die.
I know, I'm one of em. |

at first I thought the white spaces wouldn't bother me much but I was wrong I was horribly horribly wrong what does it say |

I'm a fan of both anime and mlp. I like mixing my east and west.
Btw, anime is both singular and plural. There is no 's.' Otaku 1998! |

Correlation =/= Causation.
Anime ratings were falling quite a bit before MLP:FiM was released. Really, the cancellation of Toonami had far more to do with it than MLP:FiM ever could, especially since people aren't so one dimensional that they can't have more than one thing they enjoy. |

*fewer and fewer people |

What a tiresome thing to agonize about. When FIM's first season ended there were a lot of worries flung around about interest in the show dropping off in the summer, I.E "Teh fandom iz gonna dye! Ohnoes!". Guess that didn't happen.
If you want real worry I'd suggest baking a soufflé or raising a family near a nuclear fission plant. |

You say that like it's a bad thing. |

I'm one of the many who grew up watching Toonami and was thankful for the exposure of anime it gave me. I'm deeply saddened that it no longer exists in any form, considering how popular it was and still is to this day. I think that's when the downfall started. MLP didn't really affect the downfall all that much, considering how many Naruto/One Piece fans are still out there, but it's so hard to find a good new anime to watch without extensive searching online or staying up beyond 1am for the Saturday Adult Swim line-up.
I will say this, if MLP:FiM ever gets cancelled, I'd be happy with a respectable Japanese Anime producer making their own series (Gainax... stay away). |

Anime fandoms are fine. Its just that there's not that many new anime coming to the American shores.
Besides, who ever said you can't be in more than one fandom at a time? I see a lot of Bronies like me who also admire and watch anime. |

I will be dying to see a anime version of MLP or at least a Japanese dub to the original show. Everything sounds better in Japanese for me. |

Less weeaboos the better says I. |

"fewer anime viewers" = More people perusing online stream sites, less traffic for torrent sites. |

I stopped watching Anime as soon as I started finding out how predictable the shows started becoming. |
| Straker #1260065 3 months ago |
I stopped watching all the DEPRESSING BS anime with horrible emo endings YEARS ago so I don't see the correlation here. |
| Zancrow #1260205 3 months ago |
This is so fucking stupid! Friendship is Magic is just one show and will die in a matter of time.
Anime is still better, because it has better animation. |
| Zancrow #1260206 3 months ago |
There, I said it. |
| I_Like_Your_Mane #1262649 3 months ago |
Anime always had a special niche since the beginning and it will continue. While American cartoon scene will continue to struggle with censors and soccer moms for all eternity.
That is what makes FIM so special. |

I stopped watching anime about 1 year ago because it... well... I just had enough of it. But I watch MLP with pleasure, it`s whole new experience! |

sadly, Anime has died in my country a few years ago... until 2009, there was a popular TV channel that aired the best anime shows on afternoon weekdays like One Peace, InuYasha, Dragon Ball, Pokemon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Naruto, Monster Rancher, Detective Conan, Ranma 1/2, Shin Chan etc.
I used to watch them every day after school and like most of you guys, i grew up with those animes. But unfortunately they cancelled the children's programming and stopped airing all anime series in favor of stupid sitcoms. Now they only air reality shows like Still Standing or King of Queens. It was the only tv channel in my country with good animes, now they're all gone :( FUCK YOU AMERICA FAT CAPITALIST FUCKTARDS |
| Anonymous #1271719 2 months ago |
^You do know there are actual good shows out there, right? Like, King of Queens isn't representative of every sitcom ever made. Oh, but what's the point of trying to reason with an animefag.... |
