Most of them have Rainbow as a vindictive little child that hops from pony to pony, rutting them, then leaving. Because, you know, the element of loyalty wouldn't be loyal. And they make Pinkie into a slut, because she likes to make ponies smile. Those clop stories give me a head ache. |

The problem with Brony Fanfics is that pretty much 75% is OC main character and are generally bleeding-heart self-inserts either Human in Equestria or a human who becomes a pony of people who are abused. If you go to FiMFiction and go to the recentlyupdated/new stories I guarantee you there will be at least one of those. THAT is what fanfiction boils down to to. (The remaining 25% is made of 22% lesbian shipfics, 2% straightfics and 1% decent stories.) |

Shipping stories are the worst. People just thumbs it up on premise alone, and if it's their favorite ship, they'll like it, no matter how bad it actually is. And if you make them have sex, well then you are a master writer! I hate them so much. |

Romance reports just updated. The comments section is filled to the brim with praise. That fanfic is the typical 'porn with story,' which means to me 'I know what a vulva is, and I think it's entirely plausible that twi is actually bi, every one of her friends are sluts and fuck each other, and twi is totally crushing on luna, and this is somehow in character and it should be canon.' What an idiot. |

Fanfiction is good... in theory.
In theory, people could write their own "episodes" of the show. It's a fun way to interact with the world the show has created. We could explore character friendships in detail, and consider what daily life is like in Equestria. Or we could have bland romance and "epic" wars that don't seem to fit My Little Pony at all. |

Yeah, what really kills fanfiction for me is that most of them utterly fail to match the tone of the show (and most of the time end up butchering the characters' personalities to boot) . Every once and a while one will crop up that'll make you say "Hey, that could be an episode..." but it's a really rare occurrence. |

I don't remember the names anyway. It's all avout excecutions, but the first *hundred* were all the same and where horribly lengthy and the character were OOC. It was like watching a even dumber version of Inuyasha. But for the life of me, I can't remember their names. It was month's ago. I've got no problem with all the different kinds of fics out there; I can't really see why anyone would have a problem with other people's interests when it comes to something as inconsequential as this.
I've read quite a few good fanfics from quite a few good authors. I avoid ones where the premiss sounds stupid or the characters are just too far gone. But I don't hate them unless they negatively impact me in some way (and that's rather unlikely). I take what I like from the good, and I forget the bad. It seems so many people simply lack this ability; it's quite amazing. Or you all just love complaining about shit, that could be it too. |

I've read many stories like that. Doesn't really matter to me. If the ending sucks, I write a different ending to it. It's not my fault if the writer drop the ball, I shouldn't be deprived of a good story just because they couldn't finish it right. And no, the good ones don't suck. I think you're just not reading the right stories. There are excellent writers out there, the quality of their writing doesn't go down just because the category they write for is fanfiction. |

If you think the published stuff is bad, try reviewing it the stuff that people don't bother to release. Fan-fic, by nature, is generally terrible, but the stuff that doesn't make it to "publishing" is horrendous by any standards.
