I have a theory on Derpy. She was born a Unicorn, but she tried a spell in her youth that was way beyond her abilities that caused a explosion. The result is that her form was locked as a Pegasus, not even Princess Celestia can figure out how to unlock it. It's also responsible for her derp look. Dinky & Sparkler are her siblings, not her children. |

that actually explains the bubbles, cause what do you get in a test tube when you mix things? bubbles. What happens when a spell goes weird? It fizzles or pops. bubbles can pop.
Head Cannon is now that Derpy was a unicorn but messed up. Dinky is still Derpy's daughter though |
