Well, she's passionate and could be tempted easily enough.
Although the Dark Side itself is depicted as having evil motives and is almost invariably used for evil ends, what makes it so compelling is that all of the well-written Sith Lords think they're doing the right thing.
And can you honestly see her with the emotional control and serenity in battle that define the pre-Empire Jedi?

Rainbow Dash could never go evil, if you remember MLP: FiM episode 2. She was given a chance to go Dark Side, but she turned it down. Besides, she seems more of a Han Solo-ish kind of pony

Yeah, I could see non-Force-using anti-hero, but given the Force, and given unwilling corruption, I think she'd be susceptible, though the fall wouldn't be a foregone conclusion. This is the problem with mixing franchises. You can't assume that because she was strong enough to say no to the Shadowbolts that she would be strong enough to fight the actively corrupting influence of something like the Dark Side.

Technically, the Jedi can use red sabers, and the Sith can use green and blue. They just usually don't.

Yeah, but the Jedi don't use lightning. Unless I've missed something in the EU somewhere.

^Jedi /can/ use lightning, but it's kind of unpredictable and more useful to harm everything. I believe only Jedi Shadows, the "Darkest" of the Jedi order, use lightning freely.

And that's probably because they're typically deep in Sith territory.

^ Not necessarily. Rainbow Dash's care free, pranksterish, but good hearted attitude is closest to the Grey Jedi.

The Grey Jedi follow the most basic tenants of the Jedi Order, but not its strictest ones. They use dark side powers as much as light, reasoning that its how you use them is what's important, regardless of the emotion used to create it. They are known to be both wise yet very casual, and very powerful.

The most famous Grey Jedi of the Old Republic was Jolee Bindo.
The most famous Grey Jedi of the New Republic is Kyle Katarn.
Some even considered Qui-Gon Jinn to be the last Grey Jedi of the Old Republic.
