Because some people are afraid to look at real people in general and must photoshop "imperfections" wherever they see them?

Truth be told, she looks fine in picture one. It's neat costume.

I think she looks very nice. It's gutsy to go out and cosplay anything. And I think she did a lovely job.

Though I don't agree with the outfit choice (I don't think Fluttershy would wear that) I think her body is fine. She's skinnier than me, but she looks healthy. I've seen many girls in the cosplay scene that look like they would snap is half if you hugged them.
The only thing unflattering is her corset top isn't fitted properly. It's loose around her stomach, therefore making it took like a tummy when really that's not the case.

You boys (and girls, though I doubt too many girls tread the depths of ponibooru) should be a bit nicer when it comes to people. Especially ladies who go out and cosplay characters from a show we all love. These are the female bronies; and don't you guys want to have brony girlfriends?

Right or left either way I would not have kicked her out of bed, she's cute in either pic and willing to cosplay Fluttershy; hard to resist imo.

I'm pretty sure I'm not whiteknighting (though forgive me if I'm wrong; I'm going by urban dictionary's definition). I just hate to see a perfectly normal looking girl get called ugly and fat when she really isn't.
I myself have been on the receiving end of many cruel words when it comes to pictures of my cosplay, and I don't think any girl should have to go through that. She's not the most beautiful gal in the world, but she certainly is far from ugly and/or fat.

"Perfectly normal"? Perhaps - for someone who grew up in McBurger City. Excessive weight is unhealthy, first, and second, it's not particularly appealing, unless you keep telling yourself about "the curves", the beauty of which can only be appreciated strictly from certain angles.

Stop encouraging people and\or making up excuses to be unhealthy. Fight the disease of the body and soul.

1260109: the problem with that reasoning is that not everyone has the same healthy weight, and starving yourself to get to a certain number is just as unhealthy as gorging yourself without regard for that number.

like, okay, I'll readily admit that I'm overweight in an unhealthy way. I'm fatter than my body's natural equilibrium. but the only person who can tell us whether the person in this photo is unhealthy is her doctor.

Both extremes are unhealthy. But it's not hard to find that balance, if you're serious about your health (as in you care more about your health than about what you look like).

I had quite a few extra kilos a few years back. It was bad for my heart. It was bad for my back. Barely did 20 pushups, couldn't manage even one pullup, I couldn't even run a kilometre without my lungs\heart nearly exploding. My spine fucking hurt every morning and every evening, and no amount of stretching helped. Never went to the doctors, or personal trainers - was too busy getting my degree. Got some books and started working on myself, instead. Took me over a year to finalize my system. Then it went extremely smoothly.

I might not be a Greek god now, but I actually look, move and feel like a man, and not a blob. No back aches, no labouring for breath, no pounding heart. Fuck being diseased. Fuck being weak. It's all in our hands. Everything else is just a pathetic excuse, unless it's a result of an actual medical condition (which is not in 99% cases).

congratulations. I'm glad you got yourself in shape.

so how do you know what this girl's athletic situation is. do you know her IRL? do you have x-ray internet vision?

there's hardly enough fat on those bones to necessitate health problems.

Don't know about you, dude, but to me fat is repulsive. I mean, a small, natural-esque layer of fat can make a girl look very cute with all the smooth lines and gentle curves.

But when she's got lard on her arms that makes her her upper torso profile look round, and when she's got that "lifebuoy\float-donut-thing" hanging from her waist, it's just fucking disgusting.

But to each his own, I guess.
