There's probably no self-indulgence there or anything, either.

He was in the military, so that's probably what they are going off of here.

Did he was in the war?. I was in the army and i was in the war. It was about 10 years ago, and had just turned 19 and did not have far to go, so they offered me good money and the chance to go to college (they made not also believe that America was dying in this, and needed all the help to save her). Then I went to war and at that time had just started (and called it: War on Terror) and there was much fighting. I guess many believe that going to war is like in the video game or the movies where everything goes as planned and America always wins just making things possible. But actually I had to do many things that I should not have done, and I regret many of these things and I hate people sometimes say to me: you killed civilians and innocent people, you're an idiot for that. And I say: then go to war 10 years ago and tries to doing better than me. Also I lost a friend and a cousin in battle one day It was horrible as soon as I felt trapped in the movie: black hawk down. We could not establish good comunicasion, and all we were shooting, and we were stuck in a building. Nobody came for us and with little chance we had to leave the place and pray that a bullet does not kill us, we jumped walls, ran between the houses and the streets until we could find another unit that took us to the base. The following 2 months were more relaxed and I returned home. Tell me unpatriotic but I prefer go to prison to return to war.

The Hell did that come from? The guy in the picture wasn't being egotistic or anything. What's with the sudden moralistic sob story?

What war were you in, Tomigun? About ten years ago would put you in 2001 to 2002, and you claim it was the war on terror. Do you mean Operation Iraqi Freedom, which began in March of 2003? I'm sorry, but I call bullshit on your post. As someone who has served twice in Afghanistan, it really bothers me when people claim to have served in the military when they haven't.

^ Ok, this annoys me a bit but it's my fault ... I think I was not specific (and while I will not say much), I was in the army and later was in the war. My service did not start in the war, I started in early 2002 and was in service 48 months, I was in a training camp 3 months, I had a promotion and stayed longer (For a reason I will not tell), then passed travel to places and things I can not talk about it, and I got more work to my class of things that were not officially a war (And if you were in the army and know that there were such things when you stop being a common soldier). And you know better close my mouth with these things in any way I can not say much. Whatever you do not have to believe me, but that does not mean you have the right to call me a liar, people like I did many good things for this country and also did bad things, but we saved your ass so you should be more respectful. And if you went to Afghanistan and you served in a real combat, that's where you feared for your life, but still you were brave enough to survive, do not want to call you a liar. Whatever be the last time I mention this.
