This fic is amazing. It's the next Fallout Equestria. It might even be better. Oh, God. Can you get an orgasm from literature? Because this fic has already given me multiples.
It's still fresh out of the womb, can't wait to see where it goes. |

Something about Ponies and Dystopias that suit really well amongst the fans. Is it some subconscious desire to see the ponies fail and suffer? |

I think it's more fans of games like Fallout and Bioshock going, "Holy hell, I loved game X! It was so good. Oh, wait, somepony did a pony version of it? CHAAARGE" |

Makes it more tragic. Take Fallout for example. The games are dark, sure, but there's always a perverse sense of dark humor and 50's throwback charm that keeps it smooth. Fallout: Equestria is just outright nightmare fuel, and the sense of hopelessness is turned up to eleven when you realize just how perfect Equestria was before the war, and how quickly it met it's end. Bioshock was just straight up grimdark though, so this fic is looking to be a load of delicious soul-fuckery. I think that's the appeal, really. Pony life is so perfect, and it really frames the horror better when you realize how happy and friendly the norm is. These are two pretty normal ponies, if not from wealthy backgrounds, and you just know that they're in for a really shitty time. The trauma train has no brakes. |
