Because the name and the picture indicate a visit to Manehattan, not Canterlot. As simple as that. A visit to Canterlot was obviously going to happen eventually, and that just ruins the fun. The idea is to check off unusual or desired events, like Derpy talking or Trixie's return. |

Canterlot's more of a Kingdom(ironic since there is no "King") or Metropolis. Even the first description of Canterlot, I forgot where from or if it existed, introduced it as "the Kingdom of Canterlot". |

Probably because Canterlot isn't THE big city. I'm pretty sure whoever made the bingo sheet had Manehattan or some similar skyscraping urban town in mind. |

The picture on that bingo sheet shows Manehattan and says "the" big city. Most people interpret that as meaning Manehattan specifically. If it said "a" big city then it would be checked off without much dispute. |

Because the bingo sheet was retardedly limited, and only allows a single option for many of the squares.
Sorta like how "new species of pony" allows only sea ponies, which effectively guaranteed it wouldn't fill. |

@Special They meant "The Kingdom of Canterlot" as in "Canterlot's Kingdom", i.e. "the kingdom ruled by Canterlot".
@5804 If we're going by that logic, only a Pinkie/Rarity body swap episode would count, and only a Twilight flashback episode would count, and only Twi's parents appearing in the present would count. |
