Personally, I think Twilight and pinkie are on the high-functioning end of the autistic spectrum, just like I am.

I remember reading a TV Tropes discussion about how Twi had some form of autism or whatever it's called.
Maybe it was ass-burgers.
I felt really stupid afterwards for thinking it made sense.

More like Asperger's syndrome.

Let's get our mental disorders straight here, people!

I don't see how Pinkie is Autistic; since she fits almost none of the symptoms. Although, she probably is bi polar.

I have absolutely no idea what the hell any of you are talking about. The last thing any of the main character has is any form of Autism...

You only think this because people without autism aren't usually going to make a point of specifically mentioning they don't have it.

Rainbow Dash is narcissistic.
Pinkie Pie is borderline.
Twilight Sparkle is obsessive-compulsive.
Rarity is histrionic.
Fluttershy is avoidant.
Applejack is... I've got nothing.

Braeburn, Aspergers is a specific form of high functning autism marked by stunted social and tactile skills, mild obsessive tendencies, and acute thinking and sensory processings, most of the symption it fit Twilight to a T.

You're right.
The issues RD has instead are ones where she has to have the admiration and approval of others or she loses all self-esteem or gets mad.

i have autism and there's nothing wrong with it, in fact the idea that it stunts a person's social ability is mostly false, as if you get to non-autistic people converse then it would be better then a non-autistic person and an autistic person, really just the math of non + non = good, non + autistic = bad, and autistic + autistic = good, the reason people generally believe autistic people have low social skills is therefore only represented by the fact there are less autistic people then non-autistic, and therefore less "good" possible combinations, and i'd just like to add to this very long winded comment that, at current rates on percentage increase, in roughly 500 - 800 years the entire population of the world will be autistic, have fun with that thought - All information found on various medical and science sites, and are all checked at least 10 times before i repeat them anywhere, in case you think i have mislead information :)

@Anon152

1.You really believe humanity going to survive for 500 more years?

2. There is no such thing as mostly false. Everything is either true, false, or unknown.

3.Autism is very complex condition with many symptoms. The manifestations of autism cover a wide spectrum, ranging from individuals with severe impairments—who may be silent, mentally disabled, and locked into hand flapping and rocking—to high functioning individuals who may have active but distinctly odd social approaches, narrowly focused interests, and verbose, pedantic communication.

okay I'm just gonna quickly rumble into this discussion and mention that while you're technically right about #2, it's a useless technicality that removes nuance from communication.

let's say that someone makes a categorical statement to which there is (in reality) a rare exception they didn't mention. if you're going by strict symbolic logic, then yes, the statement is false. but is it really that weird to call it "mostly true"?

similarly, let's say that someone makes a statement which is factually incorrect but is close to the truth, or is false because it only holds in certain situations, or something like that. that means it's false, obviously. but is it really that weird to give it credit for the corner case by calling it "mostly false"?
