Clearly you were not fully-aware in 1997. "Mmm-Bop" refers to an annoyingly catchy pop song by the boy band Hanson (made up of 3 then-underage brothers with the family name Hanson). It got so much overplay on the radio that it quickly became one of the most hated songs of all time. See? |

Unfortunately, I was around in 1997, so I remember this song VERY well. It didn't help that the Hanson brothers grew up only a couple hours drive from where I lived, so as you can imagine they got a LOT of play on the local pop stations. |
