BIG MAC! IT'S SHOW TIME! |
| NightJack #1235880 3 months ago |
That phrase is used wrong, it only work he other way around, "ye not guilty" as the cast part refers to the making of an executioners sword, so the sword is made in the name of god. |
| Zincy #1235887 3 months ago |
Clavis, glad I wasn't the only one thinking that. |
| Nightweaver20xx #1235907 3 months ago |
Roger Smith is amused.

Big-O? |
| NightJack #1235934 3 months ago |
Just talked with the artist, he did get it from Big-O but didn't know what the phrase meant when he used it, that explains what he used it in a way that doesn't make sense. |
| Zincy #1235946 3 months ago |
Not sure why it matters, its an antiquated cop-out phrase that is best known to modern folks though an anime. Seems like splitin hairs mate. |
| NightJack #1235953 3 months ago |
^ Ya, but really if you pay attenuation to how it's used in Big-O it makes sense that you can't just take out the word "not" and have it make sense. |
| Zincy #1235973 3 months ago |
Yea, I get its symbolism in Big-O, and I know how it was originally used. But it just seems kinda pointless to split hairs here.
Also, if you recall, during the final fight Alex Rosewater's Megadeus flashs "ye guilty" when it tries to fuse with him. So the phrase was used like this in the show. |
| NightJack #1235976 3 months ago |
If it makes you feel better Zincy, I just gave milkman a little advice on how to make the phrase make sense in the way intended. |
| Zincy #1235979 3 months ago |
Doh, It was Alan, not Alex. I forgot. |
| NightJack #1235985 3 months ago |
Zincy, it was just "Ye guilty" in that part, it's not the same as the whole phrase. |
| Zincy #1235991 3 months ago |
Its implied though. It didn't just pull the phrase our of the air. |
| Zincy #1236005 3 months ago |
On another note, I now know your DA account. |
| NightJack #1236008 3 months ago |
Ok, I wasn't split hairs about it, just saying how it didn't make sense and told milkman nicely so he would know before someone that did want to split hairs about it came along and was a jerk about it, but now your split hairs over me trying to help someone understand the meaning of a phrase. |
| NightJack #1236010 3 months ago |
So you know my DA account, I don't care Zancy. |
| ClavisRozen #1236016 3 months ago |
And when Alex tried to claim he was the dominus of Big Fau Big Fau displayed the message "Cast in the Name of God... Ye Not-". Which to me means the phrase has more to do with the pilot than anything else. |
| Zincy #1236020 3 months ago |
I wasn't saying that I know your Da account is a bad thing, was just pointing it out, didn't know you had a DA.
Ea, I suppose you're right. I just seems rather pointless to me. |
| ClavisRozen #1236029 3 months ago |
In the show I mean. |
| Zincy #1236035 3 months ago |
Though, I don't get the sudden hostility... We were having a discussion. No need to get all upset. |
| NightJack #1236044 3 months ago |
Ya, sorry Zincy, I didn't mean to seem hostile, I tend to type thing not thinking about if it would come of as rude or not. |
| Zincy #1236051 3 months ago |
Well, I'll give you that, emotion is hard to read in text. But I'm assuming "Zancy" wasn't a typo.... |
| NightJack #1236061 3 months ago |
No, "Zancy" was I typo, I need to slow down when i type sometimes. |
| Zincy #1236065 3 months ago |
Ok then, that settles that then. I thought I'd struck a nerve. |
| NightJack #1236079 3 months ago |
Nope, if you did I would of stopped saying anything to you, when I get mad my typing get far worse. |
| Zincy #1236095 3 months ago |
I just get nasty and critical when I'm...annoyed. People don't like debating me because I am a wee bit abrasive. You should see me in philosophy debates, I've made at least 2 people cry.
But I wasn't annoyed here, just worried I had annoyed you. |
| Anonymous #1237207 3 months ago |
It's "Ye not guilty," in Big-O, right? |
| Anonymous #1237437 3 months ago |
"My name is Twilight Sparkle and I perform a much needed job here in this city of amnesia."
We have come to terms. |
