I thought Donut Joe's looked the most impressive, but I refuse to judge food without eating it

For category A, I'd say Donutopia would win. For B, MMM, and for C and D, the Mousse Moose would have won, considering that raw chocolate is relatively cheap and healthy.

Donut Joe's donut palace, or whatever it was.

I vote for Donut Joe. I really got amazed with his prime work. For me, creativity is the most important skill for a chief... besides cooking, of course.

a:The donut city.
b:Probably the chocolate mousse
c:None. They all seemed super unhealthy and sweet.
d:I'm going to go with the cakes' cake. It was definitely chaulked full of valuable ingredients.

Though if I had to judge I'd probably of gone with the eclairs. They are so good. I can't really eat them anymore unless they are specially made but if my memory serves they are great!

OP here.

Like I said, those points are more to help you guys make your decision, rather than categories (through yes, I took them from real life cooking contests)

I thought that was a fun thing to debate over. From what I am seeing, Donut Joe is getting on top.

OP here again.

Now here is a fun twist: let's suppose you are also entering the contest. From what I saw, I believe I can safely say that it's a contest for sweets and deserts.

What are you going to prepare for it?

The marzipan mascarpone meringue cake was the most creative as a recipe. I'd like to find out what this invention might taste like in reality. Joe and Mulia seemed to be relying heavily on visual presentation, which suggests that a pile of the same donuts he sells every day and a mousse recipe optimized for structural integrity might not taste particularly special. Gustav eschewed such gimmickry entirely, and that probably means he is confident that those are simply the most perfect damn eclairs ever made, which may be so, but there is a limited extent to which expertise alone can impress.

I'ma have to vote for the cake. Like Cerulean indicated, the donuts and mousse seemed to favor style over substance. I have an irrational fondness for eclairs, but really, there's a limit to what you can do with them. The cake, as described, had a creative recipe and didn't skimp on presentation either.

So, marzipan mascarpone meringue for first, with eclairs as a runner-up.

@marioandsonic

Like I said, I took the ratings from a real cooking contest: the contest was about making cakes.
