Took me a ritual and all of the souls of my little town to do it. But now, you are just as helpless as the ponies you once see as your toys to break." Discord: "You... you sacrificed the entirety of Ponyville's souls to do that? Nightmare Eclipse: "Just like you told me, Discord - I always had the darkness in me, from all those little nasty things I did all my life. I should be grateful you know - You did more then just corrupt my element and made me a monster - you opened my eyes." Nightmare Eclipse: "I learned a valuable lesson thanks to you - learning that while Good is pure and fickle, Evil as a force is endless in quantity and BOUNDLESS in capacity. To fight against it is like using a candle to ward off an ocean of darkness - in the end, a futile struggle." Nightmare Eclipse: "You can never count on your 'friends' or being a 'hero' to win against disharmony and evil - friends would only burden you by forcing you to care for them and what they think, and sticking to your outdated morals and values of 'Good', looking at the world in terms of Black and White instead of the shades of gray it truly is, just holds you back." Nightmare Eclipse: "I learned that to fight a wave, one must BECOME a wave, to sweep aside all your enemies and anypony foalish to get in the way. In order to truly protect Equestria - MY Equestria - one must be willing to sacrifice EVERYTHING you care - your love, your beliefs, your equinity - and embrace the darkness, so it could give you strength. One must pay evil unto evil, do what it truly takes to crush it under your hooves." Discord: "Even if you become a card-wielding villain yourself?" Nightmare Eclipse: "Even better if you are the ONLY villain you have to face..." Discord: "Well ring ring, missy, looks like logic had finally left your brain! That joke is so trite I can laugh about how trite it was over a week!" Nightmare Eclipse: "Still so cocky, Discord? In case you didn't notice, you are POWERLESS. I can do anything I want to you... and there's nothing you could do to stop me. As a matter of fact, nopony in the world can do anything could stop me. Not you, not my friends, not even the pathetic fool that is my mentor..." Discord: "What... what are you going to do to me?!" Nightmare Twilight: "Oh, just giving you a taste of your own medicine... I am going to break and twist you like you broke me and my friends. And I am going to enjoy every moment of it." Discord: "Please, mercy! I ... this is Equestria, right? Everypony believes in second chances! Twilight Sparkle believes in second chances! I regret doing all those 'mean' little pranks! Oh, the guilt is eating me from the inside! Just let me go, I would make amends, I promise! With sugar on it! LOTS OF SUGAR!" Nightmare Eclipse: "Discord, Discord... you ain't talking to Twilight anymore... I am Nightmare Eclipse, and I am the worst thing you ever had the pleasure to meet." Nightmare Eclipse: "There's going be a lot of wonderful, WONDERFUL changes around here, Discord, and your slow and agonizing demise is going to set them all off with a bang..." |
