^I like the image, but if we're going to judge it as if it were a real commercial DVD cover, let's be honest here.
The spine could be better. The back? Inspired. The front? Freaking awful. Too much space taken up by secondary characters, too much is going on at once, the whole thing looks like stickers slapped on a backdrop (completely F'd up all sense of scale), there's the awkward contrast between Twilight and Nightmare Moon, and there's no way the entire season fits on two DVD discs with extras. Simpler is almost always better. |

Yeah, you tell yourself that brah, no gives a bloody crap what you think |

@D50: Actually, it's pretty damn easy to fit an entire season on ONE disk. They just only put three episodes per disk to sell more. |

^^wow, what a fag |

@dragonSpike: Only by using high capacity, double-sided discs that wouldn't be cost-efficient to mass produce. Most DVD collections don't put more than 4 hours of content in a disc because that's the most they can fit without sacrificing quality, and it certainly isn't to sell more discs.
@Anon: I hope you were directing that comment at Gittonsxv, otherwise you just hate valid constructive criticism. |

I dunno. I agree with D50. Usually it's better to reserve the front cover for main characters and put secondary characters on the back or spine (And in low numbers). Putting Nightmare Moon (One appearance) and a Shadowbolt (Which don't even exist) on the front is kind of a blunder, too.
Overall, despite my criticism, it's really well done. |
