I like the wings addition, personally, albeit not the one specifically drawn in this picture. My headcanon dictates that, like his growth in greed, Spike has to undergo some sort of magical dragon coming-of-age, or undertake a task to earn them. Maybe he needed to do something to justify aggressive dominance? Maybe he needs to get angry? I personally do not know for sure, but it's a nice thought to have in regards to Spike and his eventual/hopeful addition of flight-capable appendages. |

Isn't spike the only dragon that's been shown so far without wings? To me that says they all get them eventually, somehow. Puberty? The magic of friendship? Rip them off another dragon and use duct tape? Who knows, its a kids show, settle down and relax. |
